The Long Valley Green Market is an open air farmers market created to help bring local farmers, artisans and shoppes closer to the area's residents.
The market is focused on "producer driven" products, meaning vendors are primarily allowed to sell products that they grow or make themselves.
Our vendors are local farmer devoted to sustainable agriculture and artisans producing the best handmade good.
- First market held on Thursday, August 4, 2011.
- Founded by Long Valley residents, Leona Harrington and Kate Munning.
“The mission of the market is to bring local farmers and artisans together to increase their visibility and build their businesses. Also, the increased foot traffic downtown should be great for local merchants,”
The Long Valley Green Market is located at 20 Schooley’s Mountain Road in Long Valley, NJ. The Market operates both inside and outside weather permitting. The Market is dedicated to promoting local farmers and artisans who demonstrate a commitment to sustainable practices.
Our market aims to foster a natural relations hip between farmer/local artisan and the community by providing a gathering place where the community can purchase goods directly from local businesses. Additionally, consumers can speak personally to the producer in an atmosphere that is mutually beneficial, enriches cultural standards, supports regional economics and protect ecological integrity.
